Jessie Gudorf joined the Department of Chemistry in 2018 after completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Indiana. Dr. Gudorf pursued a Ph.D. in organic chemistry under the direction of Professor Michael VanNieuwenhze. While at IU, her research focused on the total synthesis of a peptide antibiotic and a structure-activity relationship study aimed at developing a novel mu opioid receptor negative allosteric modulator. Upon completing her doctorate degree in 2023, Dr. Gudorf accepted a position in the Synthetic Molecule Design and Development department at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis where she focuses on process development of peptide therapeutics.
