Alumni News: Josey Topolski

Josey Topolski joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2014 to pursue a PhD in inorganic chemistry. During her doctoral studies, Josey focused on understanding the electronic structure and reactivity of catalytically relevant metal oxides and sulfides under the mentorship of Professor Caroline Chick Jarrold. Josey received several recognitions for her graduate work, including the Rao Prize, the Chester Davis Fellowship in Inorganic Chemistry, and the John H. and Dorothy McKenzie Award. Upon completing her degree, Josey accepted a position with Merck & Co. Inc., where she develops innovative analytical solutions and technologies for evaluating pharmaceutical dosage forms during their development.
