Anne Hickey joined IU in 2012. In the Smith group, Anne used tris- and biscarbene borate ligands to isolate low-oxidation state iron complexes and studied several unexpected C-H bond activation reactions that were dictated by the spin state of the iron. Anne then joined the Schrock group at MIT for her post doctoral work, where she studied nitrogen reduction by a pincer-molybdenum complex. At Dupont Electronics and Industrial, Anne switched from air-sensitive synthesis to electroplating and delivered key research and development objectives towards commercializing a new coating for electronics applications. Now at Form Energy, Anne is using inorganic and electrochemistry know-how to validate cost effective embodiments and manufacturing processes for the Form Energy long-duration battery components.
