Alumni News: Brigham Pope

Brigham Pope joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2017 in the Analytical Chemistry division. Brigham studied nanofabrication-enabled optofluidics under Stephen Jacobson and participated in the Quantitative and Chemical Biology NIH traineeship. After graduating from the Ph.D. program, Brigham accepted a postdoctoral research position at Sandia National Laboratory, where he pursues multiple research ventures in nanoscale photonic, plasmonic, and spintronic instrumentation. In his research-intensive career, Brigham finds invaluable the fundamentals taught in IU’s first year electronics course, the capabilities and expertise of the Nanoscience Core Facility, and the research wisdom gained in Stephen Jacobson’s group.
