Professor Amar Flood Elected to the 2024 American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellows Section on Chemistry

Congratulations to Professor Amar Flood on his election to the 2024 American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellows (Section on Chemistry) for his contributions to understanding the nature of anion recognition, CH hydrogen bonding, and ionic self-assembly culminating in the design of shape-persistent macrocycles, novel supramolecular architectures, and advanced fluorescent materials. The AAAS Council elected 471 members as Fellows of AAAS. Election as a Fellow honors members whose efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications in service to society have distinguished them among their peers and colleagues. Prof. Flood joins other current Department of Chemistry faculty, Profs. David Clemmer, David Giedroc, Caroline Chick Jarrold, Nikki Pohl, Krishnan Raghavachari, Sara Skrabalak, and David Williams as an AAAS Fellow. Read more about this award, here.
