Francis Roushar joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2016 to pursue a Ph.D. in chemical biology. Francis conducted research in the lab of Dr. Jonathan Schlebach. During his graduate career, Francis received numerous awards including the Felix Haurowitz Award, Kratz Fellowship, and QCB Fellowship. After receiving his doctorate degree, Francis worked for a year and a half as a post-doctoral associate at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center before accepting a position as Research Scientist I at Remedy Plan Therapeutics in Gaithersburg, MD. Currently, Francis is working alongside an interdisciplinary team developing a first-in-class NAMPT inhibitor for the treatment of hematological malignancies.
