Krista M. Kulesa joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2017 to pursue a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry. Krista studied electrochemistry under the joint advisership of Professors Lane Baker (TAMU) and Jeremy Smith. During her PhD, Krista served as the student chapter vice president and president of the Electrochemical Society at IU, and received several awards, including a Chemistry GRC Travel Award, Associate Instructor Award for excellence in teaching, and an NRC Research Associateship Award at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Divisions (NAWCWD). Krista also had the opportunity to conduct thesis research at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory with Dr. Eric Wiedner during a Department of Energy Office of Science Graduate Research (DOE-SCGSR) Award. Upon completing her degree, Krista accepted a position back at PNNL as a Linus Pauling Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in the Catalysis Science group, researching electrochemical hydrogen storage under the direction of Drs. Tom Autrey and Eric Wiedner.
