Congratulations to the 2023 graduates from the Department of Chemistry! Our graduation ceremony on May 5, 2023 honored our 80 graduates who completed BS or BA degrees in Chemistry or Biochemistry. Our large auditorium was filled beyond its capacity of 330 seats with graduates, faculty, family and friends attending. Department Chair Steve Tait provided a welcome, Professor Ted Widlanski gave the commencement address and Associate Chair Charles Dann presented the graduates. Each of the graduates in attendance had the opportunity to give remarks and thank their family and friends.
Eight seniors earned the Chemistry Honors Notation on their degrees. This achievement requires maintaining 3.3 GPA or better and completing a thesis research project. Those scholars and the professors they worked with are listed below.
