Eric McKenzie joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2017 after completing his undergraduate degree at UNC Chapel Hill. While at Indiana, Eric studied electrocatalytic dehalogenation mechanisms under Professors Stephen Jacobson and the late Dennis Peters. After a brief teaching stint at Indiana, Eric joined the faculty at UNC Charlotte as a teaching assistant professor in 2023, where he is now the coordinator of academic advising for the Department of Chemistry.
