Chris Tempas joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2012 to pursue a Ph.D. in materials chemistry. Dr. Tempas studied under the direction of Professor Steven Tait. During his graduate career, he received the IU Chemistry Department Associate Instructor Award as well as the Raymond Siedle Materials Fellowship. After completing his degree at Indiana, he accepted an Account Manager position at Leybold Vacuum in 2018 and was promoted to Product Sales Development Manager in 2021, managing three product lines for the United States, Mexico, and Canada
